I've been contemplating this idea on and off for months now, and I think it's time I do it.

I have moved into a different part of my life from when I first started on DA. I'm a vastly different person and a different poet.

As a result, I think it is time to create a new DA journal.

This means I shall need to be quite harsh when adding my poems to the new account. However, this also may result in me wanting to re-write things . . .

And I'm going to need a new avatar. *ponders*

It's my mum's 50th on 15th December and I wanted to get her something extra special.

She has been complaining that she doesn't have a current photo of my brother and I together, and the likelihood of my brother and I actually going to get a professional photo done is very very slim.

So, I decided to get her a portrait painted by the ever so amazingly talented *KartK who created such sublime graphite pieces they look like a photo.

I didn't give Kat all that much notice really and the poor thing was under the weather too, but she exceeded all my expectations when she produced this

Never in my life have I: Experienced the amount of respect from a man that I currently do.

My hair is: recently cut to shoulder length and annoying me as it's drying.

When I was 4: It was 1983.

Last Christmas: I was incredibly spoilt as per usual and had a horrid cold during which I lost my voice.

I should be: Working through the piles of things I have to do while I am the only member of my Team in this week.

When I look down I see: Pretty shiney jewellery.

The happiest recent event was: Attending a Masquerade Ball with the Man and wearing the most exquisit gown ever created!!

If I were a character on ‘Friends’ : I wouldn't.

By this time next year: I will most likely be living in a new place, have a new kitty companion for my Bowen Casanova, have been to Africa and planning a visit to my Michymoo Stinkypoo.

My current gripe is: Bloody hayfever.

I have a hard time understanding: why some people have such a problem understanding simple instructions or directives.

There’s this girl: whom I met about 3 or 4 years ago, who fills my life with love, laughter, beauty and magick and I truly couldn't without her.

If I won an award, the first person I would tell would be: Michymoo then the Man.

I want to buy: A castle in Scotland.

Where do you plan to visit: In addition to revisiting Europe and Scotland -- Africa, Greek Islands, Ireland, Prague.

If you spent the night at my house: You'd be kicked kept awake by my talking in my sleep and Bowen Casanova's snoring.

The world could do without: Ignoranct and close minded people.

Most recent thing I’ve bought myself: Yet another original painting of my Micha's.

Most recent thing someone else bought me: Shoes, flowers, DVDs and two more original paintings by Mich *grins*.

My middle name is: Jane - which is why I get called A.J at times.

In the morning: I sleep in for as long as I can, get tapped on the face by my Bowen Casanova, take my hayfever tablets, pee, have a shower and get ready for work.

Last night I was: Envisaging the many ways I wanted to torture the call centre staff at Telstra.

There’s this guy I know who: Treats me like a precious jewel and makes me feel like a Queen.

If I was an animal I’d be a: Lioness

A better name for me would be: Arabelle or Bella.

Tomorrow I am: Working and most likely shopping.

Tonight I am: Going home, playing with my Bowen Casanova, putting a colour in my hair, cooking dinner, talking to the Man and then sleeping.

My birthday is: 1st August.

It was my birthday yesterday. While I usually do enjoy myself on my birthday and get spoilt by those who love me; this year has been something that has left me feeling incredibly lucky, spoilt and quite overwhelmed.

While I won't go into details of how I was spoilt by the Man from Tuesday afternoon through to last evening, I shall just say that it was one of the most amazing, mind blowing and wonderful experiences I have experienced in my entire life!

There was a limo, surprises, blindfolds and Tiffany jewellery involved.

It took six people to organise my birthday

But, I digress, the point of THIS journal is to brag about a different gift.

A gift that made me bounce, gasp and then blush as my eyes glistened up with tears.

My amazingly talented and inspirational big sister *artoftheempath did gift me with something truly exquisite. She ALWAYS spoils me on my birthday and this year has been no exception.

Mich has a talent to see into my heart and soul and KNOW what would make me happiest.

When I first saw her Morrigan ACEO I instantly wanted her; however, it wasn't meant to be. While I understand Mich's decision to keep her precious to herself, I will confess to being quite heartbroken.

So, you can imagine my complete delight and sense of complete love when I opened my parcel to find my very own A5, full body piece of the Morrigan.

To have the original of this


in my possession, to know She shall grace my wall and my life is a gift beyond my ability to describe.

Mich, you are such a treasure to me and I thank you for being in my life and filling my life with your love and amazing ability to capture such beauty and power in each piece of artwork you create.

I am blessed indeed.
